My WoW adventure has been an interesting one, filled with mostly drama and fail raiding guilds.

I played RIFT for a few hours last night, and although that's not enough time to properly "review" any game (much less an MMO), I thought that first impressions might be worthwhile to anyone who was thinking about giving it a shot.

For starters, the game is exceptionally easy to jump into as a WoW player; the interface - including pretty much every default keybinding and even all the way down to the structure of the interface menus - was replicated almost exactly. I don't know what ...

Oh the smell of a fresh expansion and so many wonderful things to do!
Rep grind, mat farm, level professions, gear up in heroics, figure out WTF Blizzard did to screw up your class, farm pvp gear for defense of your amazing fishing spot... the list goes on.
If you were bored in Wrath... well you've got a whole new list of things to do! This is both refreshing and quite intimidating at the same time.

Last night we were having a bit of debate about the heroic nerfs and dungeon difficulty in general. For those who don't already know, heroics are getting a few nerfs in the upcoming patch (and some have already been hotfixed in, as we discovered in Deadmines). Although I can sympathize with a degree of disappointment in the nerfs, I also see why they were necessary.
